Getting the right licence can open the door to steady work and better options on the road. Thorpe's LGV & PCV Training Ltd runs driver training in Huddersfield for learners, with courses covering Category C, C+E, C1, D and D1. That means you can train for rigid LGVs up to 18 tonnes, articulated lorries, 7.5-tonne vehicles, buses or minibuses, depending on where you want your career to go.
Our one-to-one tuition gives you time to build skills at a pace that suits you, instead of feeling rushed through a fixed routine. We also help with the parts people often find confusing, including the medical, theory test, practical test and Driver CPC Module 4. Thorpe's LGV & PCV Training Ltd has been training drivers in the wider area, so you're learning with a team that knows how to keep things clear and practical.
Course lengths and pricing explained
Some learners want more time behind the wheel, and that's why we offer different course lengths to match your confidence and experience. Category C training includes 28, 20 and 16-hour options, with the 28-hour course priced at £2,380 and including the Driver CPC Module 4. Category C+E courses are available at 20 hours for £1,800 or 16 hours for £1,550, while C1 starts at £1,300 for 16 hours.
Bus training for Category D is priced at £1,600 for 20 hours or £1,440 for 16 hours, and all our bus training vehicles are automatic. A £316 deposit secures any course and covers the driving test fee, medical examination, theory test fees and a contribution towards Driver CPC Module 4.
